*Takes deep breath...*
I could begin spouting all the details of how my life sucks; I'd have more than enough right, what with children issues, spouse issues, health issues of children and spouse, work, school, turning 40 last month, blah, blah, and oh yeah, blah.

But this morning in the shower, as I rinsed shampoo from my mid-shoulder blade length hair I took a deep breath and blew it out in a sigh...and inhaled another breath.

So simple. So ordinary.

So taken for granted.

For some damned reason, it struck me that while I was irritated and struggling with all the things in my life, I could still take another breath. I was alive. Living things change, and sometimes need pruning, change, and occasionally a razing. I realized that in spite of the numerous difficulties and challenges I face with my life and family, as long as I draw breath, it's not over. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing good does, and nothing bad does. Life itself doesn't last forever; while I can draw breath, things could change for the better, but it's up to me to focus on what I have and what's good, before Life changes to Death on me and I lose the chance to do...anything.

So while my Life does suck, the alternative could be much, much worse.

*Laughs*

Oh, what timing...my .mp3 play list just started playing Sixx A.M., "Life is Beautiful".
